Marlene Eldemire, Founder/Virtual Assistant
 
Marlene founded Mars Virtual Assistant after spending many years in the administrative arena.  Having earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication from The Ohio State University, Marlene honed her skills in such industries as Broadcasting, Internet Technology, Human Resources and Travel Management.
 
Marlene spent 20 years in the travel industry. She founded and ran a mid-size brick and mortar travel agency.  In 1999 when the virtual workplace became an option, Marlene closed the brick and mortar shop, and all agents including herself became virtual travel agents working in their own home offices.  Since then Marlene has maintained her home office, expanded her menu of services, and has been a true advocate of the virtual workplace.
 
How Mars can help! 
 
Mars Virtual Assistant is available for one-time projects, a couple of hours per day or several hours throughout a month.  I am Mars Virtual Assistant and I am a self-employed independent contractor who will collaborate with you on projects from the most mundane to those involving complicated business processes. Work is performed in my home office, utilizing my own hardware, software, technology and supplies.  We can communicate by email, telephone, internet or fax. I guarantee timely execution of work, the utmost discretion and professionalism, and top notch customer service.  The best part: my fees are a fraction of the cost of hiring an employee or temporary staff.
 
I have spent many years honing my administrative skills. I pride myself in staying up-to-date with the latest, greatest technologies through course work, online tutorials, social networking outlets and a network of business contacts I have developed during my career.  (And, it doesn't hurt that my husband is a Software Architect)
